“I will remember your small room, the feel of you, the light in the window, your records, your books, our morning coffee, our noons, our nights, our bodies spilled together, sleeping, the tiny flowing currents, immediate and forever, your leg my leg, your arm my arm, your smile and the warmth of you who made me laugh again.”—Charles Bukowski
and this program never fails to amaze. I’ve been using photoshop practically every day, since 2005 and I still learn something new each time I use it. I love this about Creative Suite but it also intimidates me. Its like a rat race with a never ending obstacle trail.. when will I know enough? Who knows.. back to painting.. editing.. learning..
The Knight of Swords card suggests that my power today lies in change. I am quick, sharp, and ready for assertive, revolutionary or affirmative action. I overcome obstacles or resolve conflict by getting right to the point, cutting to the chase or confronting challenges head on — even if this means going against the grain. My communication, style or expectation is on the cutting edge and relies on reason, design, the latest craze or facts. It is my honor to protect and defend my perception of truth. I measure twice and cut once. I am empowered by expectation or duty and my virtue is commitment to the greater good.
re-listening to past lectures. jotting notes of key points i’m assuming to be on said final. taking breaks in between to listen to a radiohead song and drink some coffee; black, and a bit watered down. kombucha tea on my left, cell phone on my right.. a mess everywhere else. i cannot wait for this class to be over and yet, i might miss the weekly writing assignments and reading. my entire life feels bittersweet these days.
“It’s the oldest story in the world. One day, you’re 17 and you’re planning for someday. And then quietly, without you ever really noticing, someday is today. And then someday is yesterday. And this is your life.”—Nathan Scott
“The validity and strength of emotions cannot be overestimated, for they represent in only slightly tinged form the uncamouflaged vitality of the universe as it passes through the inner self. Emotions represent, therefore, this vitality before it has been constructed into camouflage. It has been tinged psychologically in its entry through the subconscious, but that is all. Emotions are the most vital tools you have with which to work. It is for this reason that you must learn how to use them.”—Seth
